Anyone living in Brussels knows the difference between a belgian waffle and a liege waffle... and prefers the pearl sugar and buttery layers of the one pictured here!
To create the printed image, I draw in pencil and then transfer the drawing to a linoleum block. From there, I chisel out the highlights with small carving tools and in the end roll it with ink and create each individual print by hand on heavyweight multimedia paper.
The hand-printing process results in variations that may appear as subtle differences in texture, ink density, and overall appearance. There may be additional stray markings on the front and/or back of the artwork. These markings are inherent to the hand-printing process and serve as evidence of the artwork's authentic handmade nature. Each and every print is one-of-a-kind.
